13. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Jamil ibn Darraj from Hamzah ibn Humran who has said the following: “I once said to abu ‘Abd Allah عليه السلام, ‘I go to the market to buy a slave-girl and she says that she is free. He (the Imam) said, ‘You can buy her unless she presents proof of her freedom.’”
