1. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad and Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father all from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn abu Najran and Ahmad ibn abu Nasr from abu Basir who has said the following: “He (the Imam) عليه السلام, has said, ‘It is permissible if she extends for you and you extend for her when the time for both of you expires, by saying, ‘I have made you lawful to myself up to another period of time with your agreement’ and this is not lawful for anyone other than you until it expires.’”
