1. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr from ‘Abd al-Karim ibn ‘Amr al-Khath’amiy from ibn abu Ya’fur who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah عليه السلام, saying that Ali عليه السلام, married Fatimah, ‘Alayha al-Salam, for a mahr (dower) from the price of a single gown, a shield and a bed which was made of the hide of a ram.’”
