Another Chapter and a Mention of the Wives of the Holy Prophet

2- الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي الْجَارُودِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ وَذَكَرَ هَذِهِ الآيَةَ وَوَصَّيْنَا الإنْسانَ بِوالِدَيْهِ حُسْناً فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) أَحَدُ الْوَالِدَيْنِ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَجْلانَ مَنِ الآخَرُ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) وَنِسَاؤُهُ عَلَيْنَا حَرَامٌ وَهِيَ لَنَا خَاصَّةً.

Al-Husayn from Muhammad has narrated from Mu’alla’ ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Ali from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from abu al-Jarud who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘ Abd Allah عليه السلام, saying, when this verse was mentioned, ‘We advised the man about his (two fathers) parents’, (29:7) ‘The Messenger of Allah is one of the (two fathers) parents.’ ‘Who is the other (father) parent?’ ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Ajalan then asked. He (the Imam) replied ‘Ali عليه السلام, is the other (father) parent. His women are unlawful to us and this (verse) is especially for us.’”
