Women who Become Unlawful for Marriage Forever

1. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad and Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad all from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr from al-Muthanna’ from Zurarah ibn ‘A‘yan from Dawud ibn Sarhan from abu ‘Abd Allah عليه السلام, and ‘Abd Allah ibn Bukayr from ‘Udaym Bayya’ al-Harawiy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah عليه السلام, has said, ‘A woman who because of al-Mula‘inah (condemnation) when it (condemnation) is from the husband becomes unlawful for marriage for him forever; a woman who is married during her waiting period knowing all about her condition becomes unlawful for him forever; a woman divorced three times in a way whereafter he can only marry her again after her marriage with another man, remarry her three times, each time after the above process, she then becomes unlawful for him forever and a woman whom one marries in the state of Ihram knowing that it is unlawful becomes unlawful for him forever.’”
