Appointing an Attorney for Divorce

5. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan ibn Shammun from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Abd al- Rahman from Misma‘ who has said the following: “About the case of a man who leaves the matters about the divorce of his wife to two men, of whom one divorces and the other refuses, abu ‘Abd Allah عليه السلام, has said, ‘The other man should also agree about divorce to have the agreement of both people.’” It is also narrated that attorney in divorce is not permissible.’”
