Hadith of Ali ibn al-Husayn, 'Alayhim al-Salam

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ كَانَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ أَحَبَّكُمْ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ أَحْسَنُكُمْ عَمَلًا وَ إِنَّ أَعْظَمَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ عَمَلًا أَعْظَمُكُمْ فِيمَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ رَغْبَةً وَ إِنَّ أَنْجَاكُمْ مِنْ عَذَابِ اللَّهِ أَشَدُّكُمْ خَشْيَةً لِلَّهِ وَ إِنَّ أَقْرَبَكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ أَوْسَعُكُمْ خُلُقاً وَ إِنَّ أَرْضَاكُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ أَسْبَغُكُمْ عَلَى عِيَالِهِ وَ إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عَلَى اللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ لِلَّهِ .
24. Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Al-Hasan Mahboub, from Hilal Bin Atiyya, from Abu Hamza who said: Ali عليه الصلاة والسلام Bin Al-Husayn عليه الصلاة والسلام, said, ‘He عليه الصلاة والسلام used to said that: ‘The most Beloved of you all to Allah عز وجل Mighty and Majestic is the one with the best deeds, and the greatest one of you in (the Sight of) Allah عز وجل is the one who has the greatest interest in what is with Allah عز وجل, and that the safest one of you from the Punishment of Allah عز وجل is the one who is the most intense is his fear of Allah عز وجل, and the nearest one of you to Allah عز وجل is the one who is the most moral one, and the one of you with whom Allah عز وجل is most Pleased with is the one who bestows the most upon his family, and the most prestigious one of you to Allah عز وجل is the one who is the most pious one to Allah عز وجل’.
