Surah Isra’ – Verse 10
10. “And that (as for) those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have prepared for them a painful chastisement.”
The Divine punishment all depends on our own deeds, and, hence, that kind of corruption which is not followed by repenting, will lead to disbelief. Therefore, the Qur’an in this verse indicates that those who do not believe in the Hereafter and its great court of justice, and thus may not engage in performing decent and righteous acts, it unveils the fact that a painful chastisement has been prepared for them. The verse says:
“And that (as for) those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have prepared for them a painful chastisement.”
