239. Muhammad ibn Yahya reported from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, from Al-Husayn ibn Sa'id, from Muhammad ibn Al-Husayn, from Khalid ibn Yazid Al-Qummi, from some of his companions, from Abu Abdullah عليه السلام regarding the words of Allah, the Exalted: "And they thought that there would be no trial." He said: "When the Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم was among them, they were blind and deaf. When the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم passed away, Allah then accepted their repentance when the Commander of the Faithful عليه السلام stood up. Then they became blind and deaf until this hour."
