The compiler of this book, may Allah
سبحانه وتعالى have mercy on him, said: "Whoever attributes to Allah
سبحانه وتعالى, the Exalted, a face like other faces has committed disbelief and shirk (associating partners with Allah
سبحانه وتعالى). The 'face' (wajh) of Allah
سبحانه وتعالى, as mentioned, refers to His Prophets and His Proofs (Hujjah) - peace be upon them - through whom people turn to Allah
سبحانه وتعالى, seek to know Him, and understand His religion. On the Day of Judgment, gazing upon them is a reward greater than any other reward. Allah
سبحانه وتعالى, the Almighty, said: 'Everyone upon it [the earth] will perish, and there will remain the Face of your Lord
عز وجل, Owner of Majesty and Honor.' (Surah Ar-Rahman
55:26-27) And He also said: 'So wherever you [might] turn, there is the Face of Allah
سبحانه وتعالى.' (Surah Al-Baqarah
2:115) Meaning, turning towards Allah
سبحانه وتعالى is achieved through them. The expressions of the Qur'an must not be denied or distorted”.
