قال مصنف هذا الكتاب - رحمه الله -: والدم على الاستحباب والاستغفار يجزي عنه، والخبران غير مختلفين.

The compiler of this book—may Allah have mercy on him—commented: The sacrifice is recommended, while seeking forgiveness suffices. The two narrations are not contradictory.
