The Shaykh (Al-Mufid), may Allah سبحانه وتعالى support him, commented: "A garment should also be washed if it is stained with the droppings of chickens specifically. However, it does not need to be washed if stained with the droppings of pigeons or other birds that are permissible to eat, as previously explained." This ruling is supported by earlier narrations and additional evidence.
