Then the Shaykh (Al-Mufid), may Allah سبحانه وتعالى support him, said: "There is no harm in praying in leather socks (khuff) even if they have some impurity, and the same applies to sandals. However, avoiding such situations is preferable. If a person steps on impurity with his shoes or socks and then wipes them on the ground, they are purified by that."
