Muhammad ibn al-Hasan, the compiler of this book, said: “Acting upon the first narration is preferable, because the previously mentioned reports include that the prayer of ‘al-Istisqa’ (prayer for rain) is to be performed in the same manner as the two Eid prayers. And we have already explained previously that in the Eid prayers, the sermon comes after the prayer. Therefore, this prayer should follow the same pattern. And it is recommended that this sermon be delivered after the prayer of al-Istisqa.”
