On Various Traditions From Imam Ali Ibn Musa al-Ridha صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم

28-19 Muhammad ibn Al-Qasim al-Isterabadi - may God be pleased with him - quoted on the authority of Yusuf ibn Muhammad ibn Ziyad, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Al-Hassan ibn Ali صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, on the authority of his father صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Ali صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, on the authority of his father Ali ibn Musa Al-Ridha صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, on the authority of his father Musa ibn Ja’far صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, on the authority of his forefathers, on the authority of Ali صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم that God’s Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم said, “When Gabriel brought the news of the death of al-Najashi to God’s Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, the Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم cried very hard for him and said, “Your brother whose name is al-Najashi has died.” The Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم then went to the desert and said ‘Allahu Akbar’ seven times. Then God evened out all the hills for him so that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم could see al-Najashi’s corpse in Ethiopia.”
