30-3 According to the same documentation, it has been narrated on the authority of Al-Ridha صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم on the authority of his father Musa ibn Ja’far صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, “A man went to see As-Sadiq صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and said, ‘I am fed up with this world and ask God for my death.’ The Imam صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم told him, ‘It is better that you ask God to live so that you can obey Him. It is better for you to live and obey God, than to die and have neither disobeyed or obeyed God.’”
