ʿUyūn akhbār al-Riḍā|Volume 1|Book 2|Chapter 30
6 - وَبِهذَا الإسناد عَنِ الرِّضا عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ، عَن أَبيهِ مُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَر عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ قالَ: قالَ الصَّادِق عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ: كَمْ مِمَّنْ كَثُرَ ضَحِكُهُ لاعِباً يَكْثُرُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بُكَاؤُهُ وَكَمْ مِمَّنْ كَثُرَ بُكَاؤُهُ عَلَى ذَنْبِهِ خَائِفاً يَكْثُرُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ سُرُورُهُ وَضَحِكُهُ.
30-6 According to the same documentation, it has been narrated on the authority of Al-Ridha صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, on the authority of his father Musa ibn Ja’far صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم that As-Sadiq صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم said, “There are many who laugh having fun, but will cry a lot on the Resurrection Day. There are many who cry due to fear for the sins they have committed, and will be laughing a lot on the Resurrection Day and in Paradise.”
