11. Muhammad Ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad Ibn Muhammad from Ibn Sinan from Abu al-Jarud from al-Asbagh that Amir al-Mu’minin عليه السلام said: "There are two kinds of patience. There is patience during a calamity which is good and beautiful, but what is better than that is patience against committing what Allah سبحانه وتعالى has forbidden for you. There are also two types of dhikr. There is dhikr of Allah سبحانه وتعالى during a time of calamity, and the more virtous form of dhikr which is during (the temptation of) committing what Allah سبحانه وتعالى has forbidden for you so it acts as a barrier (from sinning)."
