The Description of the Ablution of the Ameer Ul Momineen
Man Lā Yaḥḍuruh al-Faqīh|Volume 1|Book 1|Chapter 10
وَقَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ: «مَسَحَ أَمِيرُ اَلْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَى اَلنَّعْلَيْنِ وَ لَمْ يَسْتَبْطِنِ اَلشِّرَاكَيْنِ.
Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir عليه السلام said: "The Commander of the Faithful عليه السلام wiped over his sandals and did not remove the straps”.
