The Limits of Ablution, Its Order and Reward
Man Lā Yaḥḍuruh al-Faqīh|Volume 1|Book 1|Chapter 11
وَقَالَ اَلصَّادِقُ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ: «اِغْسِلْ يَدَكَ مِنَ اَلْبَوْلِ مَرَّةً وَ مِنَ اَلْغَائِطِ مَرَّتَيْنِ وَ مِنَ اَلْجَنَابَةِ ثَلاَثاً.
Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq عليه السلام said: "Wash your hand after urine once, after defecation twice, and after janabah (ritual impurity) three times."
