The Ritual Bath of Jumu’ah, Entering the Bathhouse, Its Etiquette, and Teachings on Cleanliness and Beautification
Abu Basir asked Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq عليه السلام about a man who neglects the Jumu’ah ritual bath (ghusl) either forgetfully or intentionally. Imam عليه السلام said: 'If he was forgetful, his prayer is valid. But if he did so intentionally, then he should seek forgiveness from Allah سبحانه وتعالى and not repeat it.’
