Man Lā Yaḥḍuruh al-Faqīh|Volume 1|Book 1|Chapter 28
وَقَالَ اَلصَّادِقُ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ: «لَيْسَ لَكُمْ أَنْ تُعَزُّونَا وَ لَنَا أَنْ نُعَزِّيَكُمْ إِنَّمَا لَكُمْ أَنْ تُهَنِّئُونَا لِأَنَّكُمْ تُشَارِكُونَنَا فِي اَلْمُصِيبَةِ.
Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq عليه السلام said: "It is not for you to offer us condolences, but it is for us to offer you condolences. Indeed, it is for you to congratulate us, because you share in our misfortune”.
