The Call to Prayer and the Establishment of Prayer and the Reward of the Muezzins

Imam عليه السلام said: "The name of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم used to be repeated in the adhan (call to prayer), and the first one to remove it was Ibn Arwa." It is also reported: "In Medina, when the mu'adhdhin (caller to prayer) would make the adhan on Jumu’ah, a caller would announce that trading was forbidden due to the statement of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Exalted: 'O’ you who believe, when the call is made for prayer on the day of Jumu’ah, hasten to the remembrance of Allah سبحانه وتعالى and leave off trade.'" (Surah Al-Jumu'ah 62:9)
