Prayer During Travel
Man Lā Yaḥḍuruh al-Faqīh|Volume 1|Book 1|Chapter 59
Ibrahim al-Karkhi said: "I said to Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq عليه السلام: "I am able to face the Qiblah (direction of prayer) while in the mahmil (a covered mount or carrier)." He عليه السلام replied: "Is this restriction (truly necessary) ? Do you not have in the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم an example to follow?"
