Man Lā Yaḥḍuruh al-Faqīh|Volume 1|Book 1|Chapter 72
Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq عليه السلام said: "Pray the two rak'ahs of Fajr (supererogatory prayer) before Fajr, at its time, or shortly thereafter. In the first rak'ah, recite Surah Al-Fatiha and ‘Qul ya-ayyuhal kafirun’ (Surah al-Kafirun), In the second rak'ah, recite Al-Hamd and 'Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad' (Surah Al-Ikhlas)."
