The Prayer for Seeking Rain (Salat Al-Istisqa)
Man Lā Yaḥḍuruh al-Faqīh|Volume 1|Book 1|Chapter 80
وَقَالَ أَمِيرُ اَلْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ: «اَلسَّحَابُ غِرْبَالُ اَلْمَطَرِ لَوْ لاَ ذَلِكَ لَأَفْسَدَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ وَقَعَ عَلَيْهِ».
The Commander of the Faithful Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib عليه السلام said: "The clouds are the sieve of the rain; without that, it would ruin everything it falls upon”.
