Chapter on Hoarding and Pricing
Man Lā Yaḥḍuruh al-Faqīh|Volume 3|Book 2|Chapter 18
وَ رُوِيَ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ اَلثُّمَالِيِّ قَالَ: ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ اَلْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِمَا اَلسَّلاَمُ غَلاَءُ اَلسِّعْرِ فَقَالَ "وَ مَا عَلَيَّ مِنْ غَلاَئِهِ إِنْ غَلاَ فَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ وَ إِنْ رَخُصَ فَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ".
It is narrated from Abu Hamzah al-Thumali that he said: Imam Ali ibn Al-Hussain عليه السلام was informed about the rise in prices. Imam عليه السلام said: "What concern is it to me if prices rise? It is upon Him سبحانه وتعالى, and if they fall, it is upon Him سبحانه وتعالى."
