Chapter on Oaths, Vows, and Expiations
Man Lā Yaḥḍuruh al-Faqīh|Volume 3|Book 2|Chapter 38
وَ قَالَ اَلصَّادِقُ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ: "مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ فَرَأَى مَا هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْهَا فَلْيَأْتِ اَلَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْهَا وَ لَهُ زِيَادَةُ حَسَنَةٍ ".
Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq عليه السلام said: "Whoever swears an oath and then sees something better than it, let him do that which is better, and he will have an additional good deed."
