Chapter on the Age at Which Children Should No Longer Be Touched Affectionately or Carried, and the Obligation to Separate Them in Their Beds
Abdullah ibn Maymun narrated from Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq عليه السلام from his father, Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir عليه السلام, from his forefathers (peace be upon them), who said: The Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: "A boy and a boy, a boy and a girl, and a girl and a girl should be separated in their sleeping arrangements at the age of ten years."
