Chapter on Breastfeeding
Man Lā Yaḥḍuruh al-Faqīh|Volume 3|Book 3|Chapter 47
وَ رَوَى عُبَيْدُ بْنُ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ اَلرَّضَاعِ فَقَالَ "لاَ يَحْرُمُ مِنَ اَلرَّضَاعِ إِلاَّ مَا اِرْتَضَعَ مِنْ ثَدْيٍ وَاحِدٍ حَوْلَيْنِ كَامِلَيْنِ".
Ubayd ibn Zurarah narrated from Zurarah from Abu Abdullah عليه السلام who said: I asked him about breastfeeding, and Imam عليه السلام said: "Breastfeeding does not create a prohibition except when a child nurses from one breast for two complete years."
