Chapter on the Virtue of Children
Man Lā Yaḥḍuruh al-Faqīh|Volume 3|Book 3|Chapter 49
وَ رَوَى أَبَانُ بْنُ تَغْلِبَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ: "اَلْبَنَاتُ حَسَنَاتٌ وَ اَلْبَنُونَ نِعْمَةٌ فَالْحَسَنَاتُ يُثَابُ عَلَيْهَا وَ اَلنِّعْمَةُ يُسْأَلُ عَنْهَا".
Aban ibn Taghlib narrated from Abu Abdullah عليه السلام who said: "Daughters are good deeds, and sons are blessings. Good deeds are rewarded, and blessings are questioned about."
