Chapter on the State of Believers' Children Who Pass Away
Jameel ibn Darraj asked Abu Abdullah عليه السلام about Ibrahim, the son of the Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), whether he would have been a truthful prophet (ṣiddiq nabi) if he had lived. Imam عليه السلام replied: "If he had lived, he would have followed the path of his father (peace and blessings be upon him)."
