What the Commander of the Faithful عليه السلام Informed Regarding the Occurrence of the Occultation
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ إِدْرِيسَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ الْفَزَارِيِّ عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْجَارُودِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ الضَّخْمِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عليه السلام يَقُولُ كَأَنِّي بِكُمْ تَجُولُونَ جَوَلَانَ النَّعَمِ تَطْلُبُونَ الْمَرْعَى فَلَا تَجِدُونَهُ.
Narrated to us Husain bin Ahmad bin Idrees رضي الله عنه: Narrated to us my father from Ja’far bin Muhammad bin Malik FaTharri from Abbad bin Yaqoob from Hasan bin Hammad from Abil Jarud from Yazid bin Tomah that he said: I heard Amirul Momineen عليه السلام say regarding the way people will search for the Imam: “As if I can see you bleating like cattle; searching for pasture, but in vain.”
