What Husayn Ibn Ali عليه السلام Informed Regarding the Occurrence of the Occultation
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْقَزْوِينِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْأَحْوَلُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَلَّادٌ الْمُقْرِي عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حُصَيْنٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ وَثَّابٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْحُسَيْنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ عليه السلام يَقُولُ لَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا يَوْمٌ وَاحِدٌ لَطَوَّلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ وُلْدِي فَيَمْلَأَهَا عَدْلًا وَ قِسْطاً كَمَا مُلِئَتْ جَوْراً وَ ظُلْماً كَذَلِكَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص يَقُولُ.
Narrated to us Ali bin Muhammad bin Hasan Qazwini: Narrated to us Muhammad bin Abdullah Hadhrami: Narrated to us Ahmad bin Yahya al-Hawl: Narrated to us Khallad Muqri from Qais bin Abi Hus’ain from Yahya bin Thaab from Abdullah bin Umar that he said: I heard Husain Ibne Ali عليه السلام say: “Even if only a day remains from the tenure of the world, Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, would prolong it enough to allow a man from my progeny to appear. Then he would fill up the earth with justice and equity just as it would be fraught with injustice and oppression.” The narrator says: I heard the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم say the same.”
