The Hadith of Shaddad Ibn ‘ad Ibn Iram

Narrated to us Muzaffar bin Ja’far bin Muzaffar Samarqandi Alawi: Narrated to us Ja’far bin Muhammad bin Masud from his father that he said: Narrated to us Jibraeel Ibne Ahmad from Muhammad bin Isa bin Ubaid from Yunus bin Abdur Rahman from Mansur bin Hazim that he asked Abi Abdullah عليه السلام about the verse: لَوْتَزَيَّلُوالَعَذَّبْنَاالَّذِينَكَفَرُوامِنْهُمْعَذَابًاأَلِيمًا Had they been widely separated one from another, We would surely have punished those who disbelieved from among them with a painful punishment.6 The Imam said: If the Almighty Allah removes the believers from the loins of the infidels, He would punish the infidels.
