Merits of the Month of Ramaḍān

Muḥammad b. al-Ḥasan narrated to us, saying that Aḥmad b. Idrīs narrated to him among others, from Muḥammad b. Aḥmad b. Yaḥyā b. ʿImrān al-Ashʿarī, from Ibrāhīm b. Hāshim, from Mūsā b. ʿImrān al-Hamadānī, from Yūnus b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, from Yūnus b. ʿAmmār, who said: “I have heard Abā ʿAbd Allāh عليه السلام saying: “Whoever (wilfully) breaks his fast (before its time) for a day in the month of Ramaḍān, he has broken faith (with Allāh).”
