Faḍāʾil al-Ashhur al-Thalātha|Volume 1|Book 3|Chapter 1
Muḥammad b. al-Ḥasan b. Aḥmad b. al-Walīd رضي الله عنه narrated to us, saying that Muḥammad b. al-Ḥasan al-Ṣaffār narrated to him among others, from Muḥammad b. al-Ḥusayn b. Abī’l-Khaṭṭāb, from ʿAlī b. al-Nuʿmān, from ʿAbd Allāh b. Ṭalḥa al-Nahdī, from Jaʿfar b. Muḥammad, from his father, from his forefathers, from ʿAlī b. Abī Ṭālib عليهم السلام, who said: “The Messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه وعلى آله has stated: “Four supplications are not thrown back but rather they open the gates of the sky and are lifted towards the Throne: the supplication of a parent for his child, and that of an oppressed person against the one who oppressed him, the one who made the lesser pilgrimage (al-ʿumra) until he returns (to his home), and the one who is fasting until he breaks his fast.”
