Chapter on Purifying Clothes and Other Items From Impurities

وَ بِهَذَا اَلْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَنْ أَلْبَانِ اَلْإِبِلِ وَاَلْغَنَمِ وَ اَلْبَقَرِ وَأَبْوَالِهَا وَ لُحُومِهَا فَقَالَ« لاَ تَوَضَّأْ مِنْهُ وَإِنْ أَصَابَكَ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ أَوْ ثَوْباً لَكَ فَلاَ تَغْسِلْهُ إِلاَّ أَنْ تَتَنَظَّفَ» قَالَ وَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ أَبْوَالِ اَلدَّوَابِّ وَاَلْبِغَالِ وَاَلْحَمِيرِ فَقَالَ« اِغْسِلْهُ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَعْلَمْ مَكَانَهُ فَاغْسِلِ اَلثَّوْبَ كُلَّهُ فَإِنْ شَكَكْتَ فَانْضِحْهُ».
With this chain of transmission, from Ali ibn Ibrahim, from his father, from Hammad, from Hariz, from Muhammad ibn Muslim. He said:
I asked Abu Abdullah عليه السلام about the milk, urine, and meat of camels, sheep, and cattle. Imam عليه السلام said: "Do not perform wudu with it, and if it touches you or your clothing, do not wash it, unless you wish to clean yourself." He (Narrator) said: And I asked Imam عليه السلام about the urine of mules, donkeys, and horses. Imam عليه السلام said: "Wash it, and if you do not know the exact spot, then wash the entire garment. And if you are uncertain, then sprinkle water on it."
