أَخْبَرَنِي اَلشَّيْخُ أَيَّدَهُ اَللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْ أَبِي اَلْقَاسِمِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ عِدَّةٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لَهُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ رُبَّمَا حَضَرَنِي مَنْ أَخَافُهُ فَلاَ يُمْكِنُ وَضْعُ اَلْجَرِيدَةِ عَلَى مَا رُوِّينَاهُ فَقَالَ« أَدْخِلْهَا حَيْثُ مَا أَمْكَنَ».
The Shaykh (Al-Mufid), may Allah سبحانه وتعالى support him, narrated from Abu Al-Qasim Ja‘far bin Muhammad, from Muhammad bin Ya‘qub, from several of our companions, from Sahl bin Ziyad, who raised it, saying:
I said to Imam عليه السلام: "May I be your ransom, sometimes I am in the presence of someone I fear, and it is not possible to place the palm branch as we have narrated." Imam عليه السلام replied: "Place it wherever it is possible."
