Chapter on Guiding the Dying, Positioning Them at Death, Procedures for Their Final Moments, Washing Them, and Placing Them in Shrouds
عَنْهُ عَنْ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ اَلْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ:« خَرَجَ اَلْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ وَعَبْدُ اَللَّهِ وَ عُبَيْدُ اَللَّهِ اِبْنَا اَلْعَبَّاسِ وَعَبْدُ اَللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَمَعَهُمُ اِبْنٌ لِلْحَسَنِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ يُقَالُ لَهُ عَبْدُ اَلرَّحْمَنِ فَمَاتَ بِالْأَبْوَاءِ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَغَسَّلُوهُ وَكَفَّنُوهُ وَلَمْ يُحَنِّطُوهُ وَخَمَّرُوا وَجْهَهُ وَ رَأْسَهُ وَ دَفَنُوهُ».
Narrated from him, from Sa'd, from Ahmad bin Al-Hasan bin Ali bin Faddal, from Yunus bin Ya'qub, from Abu Maryam, from Abu Abdullah عليه السلام.
Imam عليه السلام said: "(Imam) Al-Husayn bin Ali عليه السلام, and Abdullah and Ubaydullah, the sons of Al-Abbas, and Abdullah bin Ja'far went out, and with them was a son of (Imam) Al-Hasan عليه السلام, called Abdur-Rahman. He died at Al-Abwa while he was in the state of ihram. They washed him, shrouded him, did not apply perfume to him, covered his face and head, and then buried him."
