Chapter on Guiding the Dying, Positioning Them at Death, Procedures for Their Final Moments, Washing Them, and Placing Them in Shrouds

Ali bin Al-Husayn narrated from Muhammad bin Yahya, from Ahmad bin Muhammad, from Muhammad bin Khalid Al-Barqi, from Abu Al-Bakhtari Wahb bin Wahb Al-Qurashi, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, from his father عليه السلام: Commander of the Faithful عليه السلام, said: “If a deceased person dies in the sea, he should be washed, shrouded, embalmed, then a stone should be tied to his legs, and he should be cast into the water.”
