Chapter on Guiding the Dying, Positioning Them at Death, Procedures for Their Final Moments, Washing Them, and Placing Them in Shrouds
And through this chain of transmission, from Muhammad ibn Ya'qub, from several of our companions, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid, from his father, from Wahb ibn Wahb, from Abu Abdullah عليه السلام, who said:
Commander of the Faithful عليه السلام, said: "If a woman dies while there is a living child moving in her womb, her abdomen is cut open, and the child is removed." And regarding a woman in whose womb the child has died, and there is fear for her safety, Imam عليه السلام said: "There is no harm if a man inserts his hand to cut the child and remove it, if the women are unable to handle it delicately."
