Al-Husayn ibn Sa'id narrated from Hammad, from Hariz, from Zurara who said: I asked Imam Abu Ja'far عليه السلام: "Is there any allowance for practicing taqiyya (dissimulation) in wiping over the leather socks (khuffayn)?" Imam عليه السلام replied three times: "There are three matters in which I do not practice taqiyya with anyone - drinking intoxicants, wiping over leather socks, and mut‘a of Hajj[5]."
