Chapter on Entering the Bathhouse, Its Etiquettes, and Recommended Practices
عَنْهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ اَلْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ اَلْهَاشِمِيِّ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ: دَخَلَ عَلِيٌّ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ وَ عُمَرُ اَلْحَمَّامَ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ بِئْسَ اَلْبَيْتُ اَلْحَمَّامُ يَكْثُرُ فِيهِ اَلْعَنَاءُ وَ يَقِلُّ فِيهِ اَلْحَيَاءُ فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ« نِعْمَ اَلْبَيْتُ اَلْحَمَّامُ يُذْهِبُ اَلْأَذَى وَ يُذَكِّرُ بِالنَّارِ».
From him, from Muhammad bin Al-Husayn, from Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Zurarah, from Isa bin Abdullah Al-Hashimi, from his grandfather, from Imam Ali عليه السلام, who said:
Imam عليه السلام said: Imam Ali عليه السلام entered the bathhouse along with Umar (second occupier). Umar said: "What a bad place the bathhouse is - discomfort is abundant in it, and modesty is scarce." (Imam) Ali عليه السلام said (in rebuke): "What a good place the bathhouse is - it removes filth and reminds one of the Fire."
