Chapter on Water and Its Rules

Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Mahbub, from Al-Abbas, from Abdullah, from Abu Maryam, who said: Imam Ja’far Al Sadiq عليه السلام narrated that Abu Ja’far عليه السلام used to say: "If a dog dies in a well, it must be emptied." And Imam Ja’far Al Sadiq عليه السلام said: "If it falls into the well and is then removed alive, seven buckets should be drawn from it."
