Chapter on Instructing the Dying (Talqin al-Muhtadarin)

عَلِيٌّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ اِبْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أُكَيْلٍ عَنِ اَلْعَلاَءِ بْنِ سَيَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ:« تَبْدَأُ فِي حَمْلِ اَلسَّرِيرِ مِنَ اَلْجَانِبِ اَلْأَيْمَنِ ثُمَّ تَمُرُّ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ خَلْفِهِ إِلَى اَلْجَانِبِ اَلْآخَرِ حَتَّى تَرْجِعَ إِلَى اَلْمُقَدَّمِ كَذَلِكَ دَوَرَانُ اَلرَّحَى عَلَيْهِ».
Ali, from his father, from Ibn Faddal, from Ali ibn Uqbah, from Musa ibn Ukayl, from Al-Ala ibn Sayabah, from Abu Abdullah عليه السلام, said:
Imam عليه السلام said: "You start carrying the bier (funeral bed) from the right side, then pass behind it to the other side until you return to the front. This is like the rotation of a millstone around it."
