Narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn, from Muhammad ibn Haytham, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, who said:
I said to Abu al-Hasan al-Ridha عليه السلام: "There is a practice among the people here where they place their hands on the grave after burying the deceased." Imam عليه السلام replied: "This is only for those who did not attend the prayer for the deceased. As for those who attended the prayer, it is not necessary."
