Imam عليه السلام was asked about a boy - can a woman wash him? Imam عليه السلام replied: "Indeed, it is the women who wash young boys." And (Imam عليه السلام was asked) regarding a young girl who dies, and no woman is available to wash her. Imam عليه السلام said: "A man, who is the closest relative to her, should wash her."
