Chapter on Etiquettes of Causes Requiring Purification

فَأَخْبَرَنِي بِهِ اَلشَّيْخُ أَيَّدَهُ اَللَّهُ تَعَالَى قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَنِ اَلْهَيْثَمِ بْنِ أَبِي مَسْرُوقٍ اَلنَّهْدِيِّ عَنْ مَرْوَكِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ نَشِيطِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُهُ كَمْ يُجْزِي مِنَ اَلْمَاءِ فِي اَلاِسْتِنْجَاءِ مِنَ اَلْبَوْلِ فَقَالَ« بِمِثْلَيْ مَا عَلَى اَلْحَشَفَةِ مِنَ اَلْبَلَلِ».
Narrated to me by the Shaykh (Al-Mufid), may Allah سبحانه وتعالى support him, who said: Ahmad bin Muhammad narrated to me, from his father, from Sa'd bin Abdullah, from Al-Haytham bin Abi Masruq Al-Nahdi, from Marwak bin Ubayd, from Nasheet bin Salih, from Abu Abdullah عليه السلام, who said:
I asked Imam عليه السلام: 'How much water is sufficient for istinja (cleansing) from urine?' Imam عليه السلام said: 'Twice the amount of moisture present on the glans.'
