Narrated to me by the Shaykh (Al-Mufid), may Allah سبحانه وتعالى support him, who said: Ahmad bin Muhammad narrated to me, from his father, from Sa'd bin Abdullah, from Ahmad bin Muhammad, from Al-Husayn bin Sa'id, from Safwan bin Yahya and Fadalah bin Ayyub, from Al-'Ala bin Razin, from Muhammad bin Muslim, from one of the Imams عليه السلام, who said:
I asked Imam عليه السلام about a man who urinates and his right hand does not touch anything - can he immerse it in water? Imam عليه السلام said: 'Yes, even if he is in a state of janabah (major ritual impurity).'
